Visit the PrecinctParramatta Female Factory Precinct is located in Fleet Street Parramatta about 2 kilometres north of the Parramatta CBD. The Precinct is not open to the public, however tours are sometimes offered by Visitors to the Precinct can access the grounds of Cumberland Hospital where the Female Factory buildings and structures are located. There is no access to the Norma Parker Centre (Roman Catholic Orphan School - Parramatta Girls Home) but these buildings can be seen from Fleet Street. Getting ThereOn arriving in Parramatta by Train or Rivercat take the free shuttle bus from the station or Ferry Wharf and alight at the Parramatta Leagues Club in O'Connell St. Walk along O'Connell to Fennell Street which will take you into Fleet Street. From here you will see the Norma Parker Centre ( Orphan School/ Girls Home buildings). Proceed along Fleet St to the entrance of Cumberland Hospital where you will see the sandstone buildings of the Female Factory and the Parramatta Lunatic Asylum.
